Particle and Wave at Fuller Craft Museum

What a great way to end the year….documenting a fabulous international exhibit at the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, Massachusetts. Particle and Wave: PaperClay Illuminated.

As the Museum notes, “Particle & Wave: PaperClay Illuminated is a groundbreaking exhibition featuring 45 artists from across the globe who are redefining the potential of the ceramic arts and representing a commitment to their craft. Paper clay, sometimes referred to as fiber clay, is any clay body to which processed cellulose fiber (paper being the most common) has been added. This traveling exhibition provides historical information about the evolution of paper clay as an artistic medium as well as showcases the amazing diversity of form and expression that exists in today’s growing global community of paper clay artists.”

Due to COVID restrictions, it is not known when the exhibit, which runs through May, will be open to the public. Fortunately, with the foresight the Museum had, at least visitors can visit virtually.

Out of Bounds: The Art of Croquet

It was great to work with the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine documenting their current exhibit, Out of Bounds: The Art of Croquet. A wonderful collection of 21 exhibitors exploring the theme of croquet. As the Center informs us, “In reimagining the ball and mallet, the show’s 21 exhibitors explore a wide range of topics, from personal artistic concerns to contemporary social issues, with clarity and wit.”
