Not Just a Barn

Recently had the opportunity to photograph a barn renovation project in Camden, Maine. First floor looks like a well-kept century old barn with worn floorboards and a stairway that has seen thousands of feet pass up and down. Second floor surprise is the completed renovation … a very cool living space complete with a substantially sturdy rough hewn hemlock staircase to the loft. Charming, comfortable, inviting, and visually pleasing everywhere you look.

Casual Elegance

Tucked away down a dirt road through flowing fields and a pine grove alongside a pristine coastline in midcoast Maine, sits a classic farmhouse built in 1851. Recent renovations have redefined the structure and breathed new life into its walls. The workmanship is exemplary, the design elements are meticulously inspiring, and the new exposed views from inside…breathtaking! This property was a joy to photograph.

One note to the photos…the last image is of a slightly smaller than life-sized print  of a photograph I made of an eight foot structural post in the kitchen that was revealed during the reconstruction process. The post was preserved and functions behind a wall  in the kitchen,  the print hangs in the stairwell.

Twilight at the Slipway Restaurant

The Slipway Restaurant in Thomaston serves up fresh Maine seafood in a variety of delectable ways. Located on and over the water at the Public Landing in Thomaston,The Slipway is a not-to-be-missed haven for seafood aficionados. This recent shoot  captured the quiet of twilight while the restaurant was bustling.

If swordfish is on the menu when you go, try it…you won’t regret it!
